Covid - 19 Update Direct Cremation
Currently the advice for Funeral Director’s is changing on a daily basis. We have been keeping up with Government updates and advice from NAFD and SAIF, both governing bodies for the Funeral Service. The latest update has advised that Funerals can still go ahead, with close family members only attending, up to a maximum of 30 people but please check with your local church or crematorium as this may differ.
Some Funeral Directors’ are advising that Families have a Direct Cremation and a Memorial Service at a later date to celebrate the life of their loved one, when they can invite the whole Family and Friends too. Of course, this is a difficult decision to make at any time, and particularly during the circumstances we find ourselves in currently. Things may change in the next few days or weeks ahead and we will keep you updated. We can still provide a service at the crematorium but with limited numbers and some restrictions.
With the restrictions in mind we have reduced the cost of our Direct Cremation as below:
Our Direct Cremation - this a non-attended cremation.
Bringing your loved one’s body into our care
Completion of all paperwork
Supply of a Morpeth Coffin or Cardboard Coffin
Returning the ashes to you in a Scattering Tube or, they can be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the Crematorium.
The special price for this is £999
There have been some changes to the system for Registering a Death- Please follow the link below for more information.
